Living a life for Christ starts with repentance and continues with obedience. We don’t naturally want to do that, so we need community, God has given us the church.

1. Recognize

...recognize that you’re a sinner. Romans 2:23 says, ” All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Our human instinct is to reject the responsibility of our sinfulness. We try to rationalize it (“I’m not doing anything anyone else hasn’t done”) minimize it (“Hey, it doesn’t affect anyone but me”) or even re-name it (“There were a few errors in judgment on my part”). But God desires us to take responsibility for our sin and turn away from it.

2. Believe

...believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you. The Bible tells us that Jesus paid the price “once and for all” for any who would call on Him and turn away from their sin. His death upon the cross was the cost of our sin. In John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Not everybody goes to heaven; only those who place their trust for salvation in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

3. Repent

...repent of your sin. Repent literally means “to turn away from.” Acts 3:19 says, “Repent and be converted.” There needs to be a definite change in behavior. This will indicate whether there is a true desire to follow Christ. If we think we are Christians but our behavior is opposite of a biblical lifestyle, we should seriously examine ourselves. God desires us to walk holy and He gives us the ability to do so.

4. Receive

...receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Come to Jesus just as you are. Trust Him to not only save you but change your life now.

1. In The Word: We want to encourage you to start taking a few minutes each day to read the the Bible is one of the best ways to start this journey as a Christ Follower. At WCC we believe that the Bible is the true word of God and teach from it every week in small groups, bible studies, and services!
2. In A Service: The heart of the church is that we gather together to worship God, praising and worshipping Him for who He is and all that He's done. One of the most exciting ways that we get to do this is in large gatherings in the Worship Center on Sundays in the church building.
3. In A Group: Alongside reading the Word of God we believe that we were made to journey this life with other believers. We do this by walking through life together in each other's homes in small groups, being a part of bible studies, and by volunteering both in the church and in the community around us.
